MY THREE PRIORITIES AS YOUR NEXT RAILROAD COMMISSIONER ARE:

ENERGY GROWTH: I will strongly support energy growth through wind, solar power and coal (i.e. the FutureGen project)

The FutureGen project is a $1Billion project to build the world's first hydrogen production power plant. This project will generate:

-over 11,000 jobs
-$347 million in wages
-$98 million in tax revenues
-$1.2 billion economic benefit to Texas
Such a project would make Texas the undisputed world energy leader

SAFETY & SECURITY: "Protecting the safety and security of Texans is of the utmost importance to me".

I will aggressively maintain the regulations dealing with highway-rail crossings, oil and gas, propane and pipelines. I will work to utilize technology that increases the safety and security of the general public, workers, and environment.

CUT GOVERNMENTAL SPENDING: As a former comptroller, I believe my experience will enhance the office of Railroad Commission. I will encourage the use of technology to develop safe uses of our natural resources. With that technology, we can help to cut cost and streamline bureaucracy without cutting standards.
