WHERE I STAND ON ISSUES OF
IMPORTANCE TO MY FELLOW REPUBLICANS:
The outcome of Prop 2 in the November election.
Answer: During this past election, I strongly supported Proposition 2, the union between a man and woman must be protected at all cost!
Illegal Immigration
Answer: This country is great because of legal immigration (there should be a yearly cap on this process). However, illegal immigration is where we must draw the line, because of the threat that could impact our economy, but more importantly the safety and security
of our citizens and borders must be maintained.
School Choice
Answer: All of my children have attended or are attending
public schools and I believe that local control and school choice are very
important.
School finances
Answer: Although Robin Hood was never intended as a long
term solution
it is beyond time for us to find other ways to finance our schools, and I
will work hard to investigate other options that does not overburden
property owners or business.
Lower Taxes
Answer: As a property owner, I would like to see my taxes
lowered and would investigate all options to make lowering taxes to both
private and public sectors, to include the possibility of a national retail
sales tax.
The current spending trend by the Federal Government
Answer: All forms of
government spend more than they should especially our Federal Government.
My experience as a comptroller has taught me the importance of creating and
maintaining a budget, one that maximizes our resources and minimizes our
expenditures. I believe our State is great and with new ideas it can become
greater.
Abortion
Answer: Because of my religious belief I do not believe in
abortions!
